About Me
As Owner and Graphic Designer at Sarah Milligan Creative, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with entrepreneurs and start-ups to design and develop a wide range of creative assets—from logos and brand identity systems to social media campaigns, signage, marketing collateral, and editorial layouts. I’ve also supported clients with website maintenance, analytics, and light web development.
Beyond my studio, I’ve served as Chief Operations Officer and Creative Director for a bespoke coffee roaster and mobile café, where I combined strategy and storytelling to build a unique brand presence. Most recently, I stepped into the role of Marketing and Communications Manager for the Chesterfield Education Foundation. A non-profit dedicated to providing equitable educational opportunities and increasing classroom innovation for Chesterfield County Public Schools' students. Where is get to make a difference for students every day.
As Marketing Director at Ellwood Thompson’s, a beloved local grocer. I led all marketing and creative strategy there, from campaign development to digital and in-store content. One highlight was our “Meet the Locals” event, which brought together 18+ regional vendors and drove a 200 %+ increase in vendor product sales through thoughtful activation and targeted paid media.
Throughout my career, I’ve learned that growth comes from collaboration, accountability, and bold thinking. I believe in the power of community and connection, and I lead with a people-first approach, always looking for fresh ways to engage, motivate, and create meaningful impact.
**On a personal note...**
I’m proud to call Richmond, VA, home. After studying at VCU, I stayed for the creative energy and tight-knit community that supports small businesses and big ideas. I love food trucks (and collect Hot Wheels versions), being outside, road-trips, and I am working toward visiting all 423 National Park sites.
Let’s connect—I’d love to bring my energy, creativity, and experience to your next project or team!
